We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team members Hilal Sarı, Oğuzhan Türk, Rukiye Altun, Beyza Nur Özdemir, and Melih Aracıtepe (students), who have presented their design as finalists in the 2025 Solar Decathlon Design Challenge (Open Commercial Building Division) under the supervision of Hatice Kalfaoğlu Hatipoğlu, Büşra İnce, and with the invaluable support of Atilla Hatipoğlu from H2N Architectural Office (as the Design Partner).
The team was formed through a collaboration with another team supervised by Ayşegül Demir Dilsiz from the University of Wyoming (USA). Their project focuses on designing a sustainable cultural and commercial building for Gaziantep, Türkiye, aiming to contribute to the future of eco-friendly and resilient architecture.
The Solar Decathlon, organized by the U.S. Department of Energy since 2002, is a prestigious international collegiate competition that challenges student teams to design and build high-performance, energy-efficient buildings.
