‘Legal Perspective on International Trade’ seminar was held jointly organised by Tashkent State Law University and Uzbekistan Turkey Businessmen Association (UTID). The rector of Tashkent State Law University, Islambek Rüstambekov, made the opening speech and Tashkent State Law University, Islambek Rüstambekov, made the opening speech and lecturers from various universities in Turkey attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Karataş Durmuş, the Dean of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Law, made explanations on how to make international investments, what to pay attention to, and Turkey and Uzbekistan taxation policies and double taxation avoidance method. After the seminar, Prof. Dr. Karataş Durmuş answered the questions of Turkish and Uzbek business people about taxation and emphasised that this meeting will contribute to the trade of both countries and the importance of acting by knowing the commercial and financial aspects of the legislation
of both countries while making investments. Ass. Prof. Dr Samet Tatar, the Department of Information Technology Law of our Faculty member, presented whether digital assets can be considered investments under international investment law. The participants of the meeting,which was very productive, included academicians and business people. The presentationsmade at the meeting were welcomed with interest by the business people of both countries.
