Associate Professor Ahmet Kılınç chaired the Turkish Legal History-2 session at the IV. International Necmettin Erbakan University Law Congress and also presented a paper titled The Crime of Bribery in Ottoman Criminal Law.

Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Kılınç chaired the Turkish Legal History-2 session of the International Necmettin Erbakan University Law Congress, held for the fourth time this year, on May 17, 2024, and also presented a paper titled The Crime of Bribery in Ottoman Criminal Law. In his statement, Kılınç included the definition and elements of the crime of bribery and also touched upon the private law dimension of the issue. In his statement supported by many examples from practice, Assoc. Prof. Kılınç demonstrated that the crime of bribery is closely linked to the economic structure of the state and that it is not possible to fight this crime only with criminal law instruments.
