International Symposium on "Challenges and Opportunities for the Private Law in the 21. Century/ 21. Yüzyılda Özel Hukukun Karşılaştığı Fırsatlar ve Zorluklar” was held.

International Symposium on “Challenges and Opportunities for the Private Law in the 21. Century/ 21. Yüzyılda Özel Hukukun Karşılaştığı Fırsatlar ve Zorluklar” was held online in collaboration with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Law and Karoli Gaspar University of the Reformed Church in Hungary on 15-16 June 2023. The symposium started with the opening speeches of AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim AYDINLI and the Dean of Faculty of Law of the Karoli Gaspar University Prof. Dr. Peter MISKOLCZI-BOLDNAR, underlining the importance of international cooperation.

 

On the first day of the symposium, which was held in order to enhance the academic cooperation between the two universities, faculty members of both universities made presentations on labour law, law of civil procedures, corporate law, and private international law. On the second day of the symposium, research assistants and PhD students at both universities made presentations on labour law, private international law, law of obligations, constitutional law and European Union law.

 

The symposium, during which faculty members exchanged opinions, ended with the closing speeches of the Dean of the AYBU Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Hayri BOZGEYİK and Head of the Department of Private of Law Karoli Gaspar University and Supreme Court Member Prof. Dr. András OSZTOVITS, underlining the hopes for further cooperation in the future.
