Under the auspices of the Presidency, the 1st International Traditional and Complementary Medicine Congress was held on 19-22 April 2018 at the Istanbul Congress Center under the organization of the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization and the University of Health Sciences. The honorary chairman was First Lady Emine Erdoğan, the chairmanship of the Minister of Health Dr. Ahmet Demircan and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Prof.Dr. Eyüp Gümüş made it. Ministries, our university, many academicians and researchers from Turkey and abroad attended the congress.
Our Rector Prof.Dr. Metin Doğan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof.Dr. Selami Akkuş, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof.Dr. Aysun Mr. Karabulut, Director of AYBU GETAT Center Assoc. Prof. Salih Mollahaliloglu, Assist. Prof. Hüseyin Ayhan, Lect. Dr. Rabia Nur Karaman, Lect. Ferdun Abdussamed, Res.Asst. Dr. Zülal Serbest Geçer contributed to the congress by participating.
The presentations made by our professors were greatly appreciated by the congress participants. In addition, AYBU GETAT Center set up a stand in the fair area and promoted medicinal plants and aromatic oils produced in accordance with the monographs.
