The promotion ceremony of the 'Chess Knows No Barriers Project', carried out by the Turkish Chess Federation with the contributions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was held at the KYK Cebeci Yurt Coordination Center. The ceremony was attended by our Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Federation President Gülkız Tulay, Federation Board of Directors, trainers involved in the project, athletes, guests and members of the press attended.
Speaking about the project at the presentation ceremony, Minister Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the realization of the project in our country.
Assoc. Prof. Bahar KÜLÜNKOĞLU and Res. Asst. Sevilay Seda BAŞ contributed to the project called “Chess Knows No Barriers”. Within the scope of the project, a 16-section training program was prepared on EBA TV and a Dictionary of Turkish Sign Language Chess Terms was developed in order to teach the basic sport of chess to school-age children. Our instructors contributed to the 16-part training program to be broadcast on EBA TV by producing content within the scope of the importance of physical activity and exercise practices.
