Our Department of Philosophy has been successfully running the Doctorate Program since 2015.
Application Requirements for the Doctorate Program:
ALES EA / SÖZ / SAY Score: ≥ 60 (out of 100)
YDS, YÖKDİL or Equivalent Exam Score: ≥ 55 (out of 100)
BS.-MS. CGPA: ≥ 75 (out of 100)
Graduation Requirements:
In order to get a doctorate diploma in philosophy, within the framework of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Graduate Education and Training Regulations, the student must take the theoretical courses; At least 7 courses from all elective courses and at least 21 credits, and at least one semester of seminar work, other learning activities, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and a thesis on a specific subject and must be successful in the defense exam.
For students who are accepted to the doctorate program with a master's degree with thesis, at least seven courses, seminars, other learning activities (articles, conferences, papers and the like) determined by the decision of the institute board of directors, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and It consists of at least 240 ECTS credits including a thesis. For students accepted with a bachelor's degree, at least 14 courses, seminars, other learning activities (articles, conferences, papers and the like) determined by the decision of the institute board of directors, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis work. It consists of at least 300 ECTS credits. In addition, it is compulsory to take at least one course that includes scientific research methods and science ethics during graduate education.
