The opening speeches of the symposium, which was held on Tuesday, November 14, and was a joint organization of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, were given by the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ÇINAR and our department member Prof. Dr. Levent BAYRAKTAR. In addition to the opening speeches, our dean Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ÇINAR, talked on Mübahat Türker KÜYEL's "concept of youth", Prof. Dr. Levent BAYRAKTAR touched upon the biography of his teacher Küyel, some of which he witnessed, and her place in Turkish philosophy.
In the first session of the symposium, our undergraduate students presented each of their various ideas from Küyel's rich corpus as a paper, under the moderation of Research Assistant Dr. Gönül Emirbilek.
In the second session of the symposium, which took place after the break, our master's and doctoral students presented various papers, each of which has a different importance in terms of understanding Küyel's ideas, nder the moderation of Research Assistant Dr. Enes Dağ.
After the sessions, the symposium ended with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and gifts to the participants.
We think that it is important that the symposium was held on the first anniversary of the passing of Mübahat Türker Küyel and it is expected to set an example for the commemoration events to be held in the following years and to spread Küyel's ideas, especially among young people.
