1.1. March 26, 2026: AYBÜ Career Days Features Presentations on Legal Professions
As part of the AYBÜ Career Days event, a series of presentations regarding legal professions was conducted for students on March 26, 2026. Following a moment of silence and the recital of the National Anthem, the opening remarks were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Neslihan KARATAŞ DURMUŞ. The event featured a distinguished group of speakers, including Murat EROL (Director General, Ministry of Justice), Judge Onur Utku SEVİM (Lecturer, Turkish Academy of Justice), Gökhan AĞDEMİR (President of the Ankara Bar Association No. 2), Yeşim ÇAVUŞOĞLU (Human Rights and Equality Specialist, TİHEK), Sıbğatullah İMAMOĞLU (Tax Inspector, Tax Inspection Board), Ahmet GÜNENÇ (Attorney, Confederation of Public Servants’ Unions), and Prof. Dr. Ergin ERGÜL (Faculty Member, Ankara Medipol University). Throughout the sessions, Murat EROL elaborated on the Ministry’s organizational structure and the recruitment of Justice Experts, while Judge Onur Utku SEVİM discussed the judiciary and prosecution professions alongside their training cycles. Yeşim ÇAVUŞOĞLU introduced TİHEK and the career trajectory for assistant experts, Sıbğatullah İMAMOĞLU presented on the Tax Inspection Board’s requirements, and Gökhan AĞDEMİR focused on the legal profession and the Bar Association’s support for junior lawyers. Additionally, Ahmet GÜNENÇ examined institutional and union lawyering, and Prof. Dr. Ergin ERGÜL highlighted diverse career opportunities for law graduates, all while informing the students in attendance. The program was also attended by the faculty administration, represented by Dean Prof. Dr. Neslihan KARATAŞ DURMUŞ and Associate Dean Asst. Prof. Anıl Güven YÜKSEL.
