An orientation program for preparatory class students was organized by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Divinity at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University on Wednesday, 1 October 2025. The program, held in the faculty conference hall, took place with a high level of participation.
The event opened with the Turkish National Anthem and a recitation from the Qur’an. Afterwards, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Nuri Adıgüzel, addressed the students and wished them a successful and fruitful academic year.
Following a presentation introducing the establishment of the faculty, its administrative structure, and its academic staff, the Chairs of the Departments of Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Islamic History and Arts respectively provided information to the students about their departments. As part of the orientation program, representatives from the Department of Student Affairs, the Department of Information Technologies, and the Department of Library and Documentation also gave detailed information to the students about the services offered by the faculty. The Faculty Student Representative, Kevser Erol, delivered a speech in which she shared her experiences with the newly arrived students.
In the academic section of the program, the opening lecture was given by Prof. Şaban Ali Düzgün, a member of the Department of Kalām at the Faculty of Divinity of Ankara University.
The event concluded with tea offered to the students and visits to the stands where the student clubs within the faculty introduced their activities.
