Qiraeh is one of the leading disciplines developed around Quran. Qiraeh deals with the different forms of the Qur'anic verse. It is a science that determines the boundaries of different Qur'anic readings. Only the types that were supported upto the Prophet Mohammad, comply with the Qur'an copies reproduced by Khalifah Uthman and were not contrary to Arabic grammar rules are accepted to be valid. All the Qiraeh types which are continual according to the rules above are the Qur'an itself. If one of the conditions is not provided, it can not be said to be Qur'an. The entire corpus of Qiraeh was named as Seven Qiraehs, Ten Qiraehs, Seventeen Qiraehs and sometimes with the names of the Qiraeh Imams. Its original rules and principles were practised with the ways as “infirad way” and “indiraj way”. Qiraeh discipline discusses Qiraeh types for different Qur'an recitations. Its goal is to limit the disunities of Qiraeh and record the different types. Its benefit is to protect Allah’s word from falsifications and changes.
