The research project titled “Feature Characterization of Student-Written and ChatGPT-Generated Python Code: An Empirical Investigation,” led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha OSMAN, a faculty member of our department, with our MSc student Banah Sabra KAAK serving as a researcher, has been accepted under the Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Program.
This project aims to empirically characterize the code features that distinguish student-written introductory Python code from ChatGPT-generated solutions and contribute a student/ChatGPT Python code dataset. The results of this project will provide an evidence-based foundation for future explainable AI-generated code detection methods designed for academic programming environments.
