Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) held its 2025-2026 Academic Year Academic Opening Council for the Çubuk Higher Education Institutions on September 22, 2025, at the Çubuk Campus. The meeting was attended by academic staff from the School of Social Sciences, School of Health Services, and School of Technical Sciences, while AYBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, along with Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Akın Aktaş, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız, and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Tutar, also participated in the program.
Noting that institutional reputation and individual academic reputation are directly proportional to each other, Köseoğlu said, “If the personal reputation of our academic staff is to be high, our institutional reputation must also be high.” Emphasizing that a new order has been established among universities, Köseoğlu expressed the need to strive to become a research university.
Dr. Bahattin Cizreli, Director of the Social Sciences Vocational School, shared the work carried out within the vocational school over the past two years, stating that progress had been made in many areas, from building and environmental improvements to increasing social activities, seminars, panels, and accreditation processes.
In a sincere and productive atmosphere, department chairs and faculty members took the floor to convey their requests and suggestions directly to the rector's office. The meeting lasted approximately two hours and concluded with a shared vision for the new academic year.
