The Learning and Teaching Unit Coordination Office of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, in collaboration with the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), will conduct “Disaster Awareness Training, Earthquake Drill, and Evacuation Drill.”
Due to its geological structure and geographical location, our country is located in an active earthquake zone and has faced many destructive disasters throughout history. Minimizing the direct and indirect effects of disasters is possible when individuals are prepared before a disaster and can apply the correct intervention methods during a disaster.
In this context, training will be conducted for our university's academic and administrative staff and students to help them recognize potential hazards in their environment, learn about disaster preparedness processes, and experience the basic response steps that should be taken during and after a disaster.
