Applications are now open for ProtoLAB 2026, an international student design and build workshop where participants bring their ideas to life through design and hands-on construction. This year's workshop takes place in Wrocław, Poland, from 25 August to 3 September 2026, bringing together students from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and five EU partner universities in a collaborative international environment.
Who can apply
Applications are open exclusively to Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University students enrolled in Architecture or Engineering programs related to the scope of the workshop:
2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th-year undergraduate students
Students graduating in June 2026
Master's degree students

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Places and scholarships
Up to 12 participants will be selected from AYBU (18 in total including the EU partner universities). The five top-ranked applicants will be awarded a scholarship covering the workshop participation fee and accommodation. The remaining selected participants join as self-funded, with the possibility of being exempted from either the accommodation or the participation fee depending on available sponsors. All participants, regardless of scholarship status, are responsible for their own travel and flight expenses.
Participation fees
Workshop bundle (online + onsite): €400 · Accommodation: €150. Paying participants receive visa documentation, and materials and meals are provided throughout the workshop.
How applications are evaluated
Cumulative GPA; performance in construction- and building-related courses; English language proficiency; previous Erasmus scholarship or grant; and the quality and motivation of the Statement of Purpose / Motivation Letter.
Visa support
Selected participants receive documentation and administrative support for visa applications through the Polish Erasmus Office and the workshop organizers. Obtaining the visa remains the participant's responsibility, subject to the relevant consular authorities.
