A workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Higher Education: Redesigning Curricula," organized by the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was held on September 10, 2026, at the AYBÜ Etlik Campus.

The workshop addressed the transformation brought about by artificial intelligence technologies in higher education and how this transformation impacts university curricula; it also involved evaluations regarding the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the future of higher education and the updating of curricula.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kemal Özdemir from Istanbul Medipol University and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatma Aladağ from Marmara University contributed to the workshop with their presentations. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Güven Delice from AYBÜ offered insights into the role of micro-credentials in higher education and their integration into educational programs.

In the final part of the program, departmental curricula were evaluated at dedicated workshop tables. In this context, faculty members from our department came together with faculty members from the Ankara Social Sciences University Faculty of Foreign Languages. The session covered topics such as how to integrate artificial intelligence into the curriculum, training educators in artificial intelligence, and providing educators with access to professional versions of artificial intelligence platforms.
