The aim of the Applied Economics Master's Program with Thesis is to train economists with an academic background capable of analyzing, interpreting, drawing conclusions from, and contributing to the international literature on economic events theoretically and/or practically, using economic methods under the umbrella of economic theory.

Graduates of the Applied Economics Master's Program with Thesis can work in various positions in public and private sector institutions, including international organizations, as well as have the opportunity to pursue an academic career.

After completing compulsory and elective courses, students proceed to the thesis stage. The aim of the thesis is to produce an original work that demonstrates the potential to contribute to the science of economics and/or the solution of economic problems. Students who successfully complete and defend their thesis receive a Master's degree in Economics with Thesis.

The Applied Economics Master's Program with Thesis will be thesis-based and conducted in Turkish.

Based on the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Graduate Education and Training Regulations, each course is designed to be 8 ECTS or 10 ECTS and 3 credits. In addition, the master's thesis is 30 ECTS and 10 credits. The ECTS and credit values ​​for each course are as follows:

To graduate from the program, students must successfully complete at least 120 ECTS and 40 credits, and defend their master's thesis.
