The Peer Mentoring Committee’s Mentee-Mentor Introductory Programme has been held.

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Peer Mentoring Committee organized introductory sessions for students at all year levels on 21 and 22 September 2026, at the beginning of the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year, to enable all nursing students to participate in the Peer Mentoring Program and obtain information about the program. The program will cover the period from 2026 to 2030.

The Peer Mentoring Training and Practices and the content of the program were introduced by committee members Associate Professor Reyhan ESKİYURT and Research Assistant Şeyma Zübeyde ALBAKIR.

The introductory sessions were held on 21 September 2026, from 11:30 to 12:00 for fourth-year nursing students; on 21 September 2026, from 15:00 to 15:30 for first-year nursing students; on 22 September 2026, from 11:30 to 12:30 for third-year nursing students; and on 22 September 2026, from 13:00 to 13:30 for second-year nursing students.

As part of the introductory program, the activities of the Peer Mentoring Committee were explained, and students were informed about the activities planned throughout the semester. The forms to be used throughout the program were introduced, and instructions on how to complete them were provided. Students were also informed about the expectations of the program and the expected outcomes of participation.

At the end of the program, feedback was obtained from all participating nursing students, and the event concluded after the committee members answered students’ questions regarding the implementation and functioning of the program.
