AYBÜ Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Holds External
Stakeholder Meeting
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, in collaboration with the Department of Nursing Chair and the Accreditation Commission, held an External Stakeholder Meeting on July 31, 2026. The meeting lasted approximately 3 hours and was chaired by Department Chair Prof. Dr. Birgül ÖZKAN. The external stakeholder meeting was organized under the responsibility of Department Vice Chairs Dr. Dilek AKTAŞ and Dr. Esra TAYAZ, along with members of the department’s accreditation committee. A total of 53 people attended the meeting, including the Chair of the Nursing Department, faculty members and staff from the department, as well as nurses and education coordinators working in hospitals, a representative from the Education and Registration Unit of the Provincial Health Directorate, faculty members from various universities, and a member of the HEMED Board of Directors.
At the meeting, the accreditation process and the education and training processes carried out by the Nursing Department were discussed. Participants were briefed on the updating of program objectives and performance indicators, the reassessment of program outcomes, and efforts related to the undergraduate curriculum. In addition, expectations
regarding clinical and field applications, as well as the characteristics that institutions where clinical applications will be carried out must possess, were discussed, and the views, suggestions, and expectations of external stakeholders on the matter were gathered.
At the meeting, which provided an opportunity for external stakeholders to evaluate the current state of the Nursing Department and to analyze institutional expectations and needs, assessments were made regarding the improvement of the department’s education and teaching processes. As a result of the meeting, productive outcomes were achieved that will contribute to the improvement of the department’s educational processes and accreditation efforts. The final report from the meeting where the collected data was evaluated will also be published in the relevant section of the department’s website.
