Abstract: The increasing demand for high-performance power electronic systems necessitates the development of efficient and reliable control strategies alongside advanced converter topologies. This study presents the implementation of the One-Cycle Control (OCC) method for a two-switch forward converter integrated with a buck converter stage, a hybrid topology previously introduced in the literature. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of OCC in regulating the output voltage and enhancing system performance under varying operating conditions. The proposed approach is based on a simulation-driven framework developed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. Instead of relying on purely analytical derivations, the study emphasizes the dynamic behavior of the system through detailed modeling. The OCC strategy is adapted to the dual-switch operating mechanism of the forward converter, and its response is analyzed under different load and input variations. The results are validated through comparative analysis with open-loop operation, demonstrating the controller’s capability to dynamically adjust the duty cycle in response to disturbances. Simulation results indicate that the OCC method achieves effective output voltage regulation while maintaining system stability. These findings confirm that the OCC technique represents a viable and efficient control solution for the proposed converter topology, offering potential advantages in terms of simplicity, performance, and implementation flexibility.
