The “Overseas Arabic Language Education Seminar” was held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the 15 July Conference Hall, Block C, Esenboğa Campus, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, with the aim of contributing to the academic, professional, and language development of AYBU students.
The event was organized through the collaboration of AYBUÇEV (Arabic Speaking Club), ODAK, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and EDURESE. Vice Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Mehmet Candan, and Vice Head of the Department of Eastern Languages and Literatures, Dr. Mehmet Sadık Gür, also provided support for the realization of the program.
Derda İlhan, a YLSY scholarship holder in Jordan and an overseas education consultant, participated in the seminar as the keynote speaker. The event was attended by students from the Arabic Translation and Interpreting Program and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, as well as Tahyr Charyyev, a lecturer from the Arabic Translation and Interpreting Program.
During the seminar, students were provided with comprehensive information about opportunities for studying Arabic abroad, application procedures, and scholarship options. Effective and up-to-date language learning methods were also discussed, and participants were informed about international opportunities that could contribute to their academic development and career planning.
The highly attended seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants’ questions were answered. The program offered students the opportunity to gain valuable insights into overseas education processes directly from an experienced professional.
