ENGLISH COURSES FOR CHILDREN
1. Can you please specify the age range to apply English Courses for Children?
We provide this course for students aged from 7-years-old all the way up to 14-years-old.
2. How will the students be placed and grouped?
A placement test will be conducted on the initial day of the course and the students will be placed and grouped according to their language levels and ages.
3. Can you please provide the course schedule details?
Course attendees are expected to attend lectures as face-to-face from 9.30 am to 12.40 pm on Saturdays. Two lectures are scheduled for Wednesdays from 8-9.30 pm and are delivered online via Zoom.
4. What is the time commitment for the courses?
Course attendees are asked to commit 168 hours in total to the courses. Courses are scheduled in line with the Ministry of National Education's schedule when the schools are open.
5. Which books are required for my course? Who are the trainers?
Our course book is Cambridge Super Minds and English Courses for Children are offered by experienced academic staff of AYBU School of Foreign Languages.
6. What are the steps for pre-registration and final registration?
The application form should be filled in as the first step. Following the pre-registration, you shall submit the course contract (as filled-in) with the bank receipt of the advance payment/total course fee in person or send the said documents via e-mail.
ONLINE FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES
1. Who can sign-up for an online course?
Courses are offered to anyone who is over the age of 16.
2. Which courses are offered in the language center?
Courses offered regularly are English Language Courses (All levels included-80 lectures), FLT-HEIFLT Preparatory Courses (80 lectures), FLT-HEIFLT Intensive Programme (14 lectures), IELTS (80 lectures), Academic Spoken English (40 lectures), Academic Writing in English (40 lectures), English Courses for Children (Online-80 lectures), German Language Courses (80 lecture/level).
Courses, that will be offered if the minimum course attendee number for the course commencement is achieved, are Arabic, French, Persian, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Russian (80 lectures/level).
*Please note that a lecture lasts for 40 minutes.
3. Will i receive a certificate upon the completion of the course?
An e-government approved certificate is awarded to course attendees who perform well in the courses (excluding preparatory courses for examinations).
4. What are your success criteria for the courses?
To talk about foreign language courses; each language skill grade (reading comprehension, spoken production, writing, listening comprehension) shall be 60 out of a maximum of 100 points, while the average grade (arithmetic average) of all four stages shall be a minimum of 60. A minimum of 80 % course attendance shall also be compulsory.
To talk about Academic Spoken English and Academic Writing in English courses, students are assessed through their speaking and writing skills.
5. Are the courses online or face-to-face?
Our courses are usually delivered online via Zoom programme (licensed). Face-to-face courses may be offered through the period of time. You can learn about the type of the learning option available (online or face-to-face) during applications.
6. Who are the trainers of the courses?
Courses are offered by expert academicians in their fields.
7. Can i re-watch the missing course if i was unable to attend or want to repeat it?
All courses are kept as record. With the link of the course record, submitted by AYBU LEARC, it is possible for course participants to watch/re-watch the lectures they missed or want to repeat.
