DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSE FILES HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED
Dear Students,
As you know, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has influenced the whole world, YÖK Precidency has decided to complete 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Term education via digital education systems.
As a result of this decision, as of 30.03.2020, our Univestiy has switched to the distance education model in its all academic units within the framework of its existing facilities.
Although there is not an example of Medical Education using only distance education model in Medical Faculties, considering the extraordinary conditions we are in, the issue of integration of distance education model into Turkish and English Programs of AYBU Faculty of Medicine has been discussed extensively in the relevant boards of our University and Faculty.
Of course, it is not possible to do Medical Education only by distance education. Distance Education is just one way to design and deliver lessons. Distance education should be supported with integrated educational resources, student support provided by academic advisors, specially prepared educational materials, other educational models-materials and clinical practical applications. Measurement and Evaluation, which is the sine qua non of education, is a process that should be prepared meticulously within this planning.
However, it is our biggest responsibility to do the best we can in these circumstances. We are taking the first step by sharing the remaining committee and internship course materials for the 1-2-3-4-5 Phases with you on the internet. You can get access to the course materials on our faculty website. It is our first goal that all our students can access these materials completely. New information and developments about the process will be shared with you.
I wish you all the healthy days with the hope of improving the extraordinary conditions we are in for all humanity as soon as possible with the least loss ....
