Technical Visit to TAV Esenboğa Airport by AYBÜ TMYO Aircraft Technology Students

Students of the Aircraft Technology Program at the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Vocational School of Technical Sciences participated in an important technical visit aimed at reinforcing their theoretical knowledge and gaining sectoral experience.

As part of the visit organized by TMYO, the students toured the facilities of TAV Esenboğa Airport under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Recep YİĞİT.

From Theory to Practice

Aiming to train qualified technicians for the defense and aviation sectors, our students had the opportunity to observe first-hand the operational structure of an international airport—the core of aviation operations.

During the visit, our students received detailed information about:

  • Aircraft maintenance and repair hangars and workshops,

  • Pre-flight and post-flight safety and technical control processes,

  • Ramp services and ground support equipment,

  • The organizational structure of technical airport units.

🤝 The Importance of Sectoral Experience

The students were welcomed by officials from TAV Esenboğa Airport, who also provided valuable advice regarding career planning and professional development.

Following the visit, Prof. Dr. Recep YİĞİT emphasized that such field experiences play a critical role in helping students solidify the knowledge gained in their courses and accelerate their adaptation to professional life after graduation.

We extend our sincere thanks to the officials of TAV Esenboğa Airport for their support, and to Prof. Dr. Recep YİĞİT for his valuable guidance. Such sectoral activities will continue as part of AYBÜ’s vision to train highly qualified technical personnel.
