Prof. Dr. Fatih Cemil ÖZBUĞDAY
Shaping his academic journey through graduate studies and doctoral research at Bilkent University and Tilburg University (Netherlands), Dr. Fatih Cemil Özbuğday integrates his theoretical knowledge of economics with practical experience gained at institutions such as PwC Amsterdam and the Netherlands Competition Authority. Through his work published in highly regarded international journals (Q1 - top quartile), he makes significant contributions to scholarly discourse in the fields of energy efficiency, circular economy, competition economics, and business economics. Dr. Özbuğday considers sharing this versatile background with his students and the academic community as one of his primary priorities.
A faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University since 2013, Dr. Özbuğday continues his administrative service as the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences as of 2025, following a decade-long tenure as the Vice Dean. Supporting the understanding and implementation of sustainable development goals nationwide through his work within the UNESCO Turkish National Commission and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), Dr. Özbuğday contributes to the development of our faculty with his dedication as an educator, rigor as a researcher, and experience as an administrator.
