Dear Students,
Excuse applications at our university are processed according to specific procedures and principles. Some of the key points are as follows:
✅ Excuse Application:
Excuse applications must be submitted online via the Student Information System within 5 business days of the end of the excuse period, with supporting documents attached.
The student's absence from class (including medical reports) is not considered a valid excuse.
Excuses are only valid in cases such as inability to take exams or suspension of enrollment.
✅ Valid Excuses:
Medical reports (suspension of enrollment is possible with a panel report),
Death of a close relative,
Natural disasters,
Imprisonment or military service,
Official duties representing the university/country,
Academic opportunities such as completing a preparatory class, scholarships, and internships.
✅ Exams:
Students whose excuses are accepted are granted a one-time excuse exam right for midterm exams. The excuse right for final exams is a make-up exam.
✅ Registration Freeze:
Registration can be frozen for a maximum of 4 semesters based on valid excuses. For health reasons, this period can be extended to 2 years for associate degrees and 3 years for bachelor's degrees.
