Prospective Students

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration, located within the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ), offers a modern educational approach at our Esenboğa Main Campus. Our department aims to cultivate well-equipped individuals who can think critically, possess strong analytical skills, and are prepared to take on leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, meeting the needs of Turkey and the world.

To achieve this goal, our department provides 100% English-medium instruction to ensure our graduates are competitive at national and international levels.

Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, we strongly encourage our students to benefit from Double Major and Minor programs in different departments.

Our department is academically structured around five divisions:

• Political and Administrative Sciences
• Urbanization and Environmental Problems
• Legal Sciences
• Political and Social Sciences
• Management Sciences

In addition to undergraduate education, our department offers strong options for individuals pursuing an academic career through the Institute of Social Sciences. Within this scope, we offer Ph.D. and Master's Programs with Thesis, both conducted 100% in English, as well as a Master's Program without Thesis conducted in Turkish.

Preparatory Education

Students who do not succeed in the Foreign Language Exemption Exam (YDMS) must attend one year of compulsory preparatory education at the School of Foreign Languages, located at the Etlik Campus. This education ensures our students develop the reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills required for their academic and future professional lives to international standards.

Campus Life: Transportation and Accommodation

Transportation

Our Esenboğa Main Campus is easily accessible by public transport from the city center. Direct transportation to our campus is available via regular bus lines from various parts of Ankara.

Dormitory/Accommodation Facilities

The Esenboğa KYK (Credit and Hostels Institution) dormitories, located within our university campus, offer our students a modern and secure living environment. Additionally, there are numerous private dormitory options around the campus and in nearby areas.
