Department of Healthcare Management Undergraduate

History

The program started to accept undergraduate students for the first time in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Degree 

Students who successfully complete the courses stipulated by the program are given the title of "Sağlık Lisansiyeri" with a Bachelor's degree.

Admission Requirements

Turkish students are placed according to the Student Selection and Placement Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center. Foreign students: Students are admitted according to the foreign quota determined by our university.

Upgrade

Graduates who successfully graduate from the program and have a general academic achievement grade point average determined by universities, Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and Foreign Language scores (YDS or equivalent) can apply to various Master's and Doctorate programs in the field of Health Management.

Graduation Requirements

Students are expected to take courses worth 240 ECTS in total and the general weighted average of all courses to be at least 2.00/4.00.

Graduate Employment Opportunities

Our graduates, especially the Ministry of Health, Family and Social Policies, Ministry of Labor and Social Security etc. They can work at different levels such as managers, specialists and civil servants in central and provincial organizations of ministries, private sector, non-governmental organizations, municipalities and affiliated hospitals.

Quantification and Consideration

The method of measurement and evaluation applied for each course is determined by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Education and Training Regulations and Examination Practice Principles, and students will be subjected to midterm, final and, if necessary, make-up exams.

Meeting this need is an important issue because the main purpose of health systems all over the world is to protect, improve and develop the health level of the people of the country. Achieving this goal requires health managers equipped with professional knowledge and skills in the provision of health services, financing, supplying the inputs needed by the system, determining health policies and evaluating performance.

By ensuring that the health manager candidates are trained at the most up-to-date, highest quality and professional level in order to take an important role in all stakeholders of the health sector (pharmaceutical, medical device, medical, health insurance and health information systems companies, etc.), whose main field of work is hospitals, Our primary goal is to bring the most modern, qualified and visionary health managers to the health sector, who will contribute to the globalization of the health management profession in our country and to increase the current professional qualification and quality to very high levels, as well as to contribute to this with their professional respect and reputation.
