The 2025–2026 Academic Year Student Projects Exhibition, organized by the Department of Architecture at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, opened to visitors with an opening ceremony held on September 2, 2026, at Block D of the Esenboğa Campus.
The opening ceremony was attended by AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts Prof. Dr. İhsan Toktaş, the Vice Deans of the Faculty, Head of the Department of Architecture Prof. Dr. Salah Hajismail, and the Vice Heads of the Department, as well as academics and students from the AYBU Department of Architecture.
The opening also became an international gathering with the participation of international academics and students who were in Türkiye for the “Blended Territories Research Workshop,” organized at the University as part of the Erasmus BIP International Workshop Series. Academics and students from the University of Granada, University of Seville, University of Valladolid, and University of Porto also visited the exhibition and had the opportunity to explore the works produced by AYBU Department of Architecture students.
Coordinated by the AYBU Department of Architecture and organized in collaboration with the Design and Architecture Society (DAS AYBU), the exhibition brings together works produced by students throughout the 2025–2026 academic year as part of architectural design studios and other courses. Featuring projects from different year groups and studio levels, the exhibition presents a comprehensive selection reflecting the Department’s educational and design production over the course of an academic year.
Bringing together university administrators, academics, international guests, and students in the same setting, the opening also provided an important platform for sharing student work and fostering interaction among different approaches and experiences in architectural education. The participation of international guests further enabled the works produced by AYBU Department of Architecture students to be shared with different academic communities.
The 2025–2026 Academic Year Student Projects Exhibition will be open to visitors on the ground floor of Block D at the AYBU Esenboğa Campus until September 30, 2026.
