The Faculty of Architecture was established in 2013 with the aim of providing innovative and high-quality education in all architectural fields. In 2019, the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Fine Arts merged. The faculty currently comprises the Department of Architecture, the Department of Visual Communication Design, and the Department of Industrial Design. It aims to provide students with a globally qualified and forward-looking education, fostering them as well-rounded, enlightened individuals with intellectual flexibility. Our campus at Ankara Esenboğa Külliyesi features cutting-edge facilities and a rich library, offering quality education in practical classrooms.
Our faculty boasts an experienced, young, and dynamic teaching staff, many of whom have earned their degrees from leading universities in Turkey and abroad. The Department of Architecture offers education in English, while the Departments of Industrial Design and Visual Communication Design conduct their programs in Turkish. The faculty consists of 20 faculty members, 1 lecturer, and 11 research assistants.
Architecture Department graduates can work as architectural designers, project managers in offices or construction sites, or as site managers. They can specialize in areas such as urban design, interior decoration, restoration, conservation, and energy management in buildings, and work in related organizations. They can also be employed in public institutions, particularly in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and various municipalities.
Visual Communication Design graduates earn the title of "Visual Designer" and can work in a variety of fields, including advertising, media, interactive information technology, TV production, video and cinema production, character design for films, game industry design, and many more. They may also pursue academic careers or work as independent design consultants.
Industrial Design graduates focus on developing functional and aesthetic products using their creative and technical skills. They can work in diverse sectors, including automotive, defense, electronics, furniture, interior design, medical, transportation, sports, and entertainment. Graduates may work in public institutions such as the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, pursue academic careers, or establish their design offices and provide design consultancy services.
