The workshop titled “Transformation in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design with Artificial Intelligence: Mimerra”, organized by the Department of Architecture at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, was successfully held on 13 May 2026 with the active participation of students.
During the workshop, a presentation was delivered by Muttalip Gören, founder of Mimerra, focusing on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence technologies on interior architecture and furniture design processes. Within the scope of the event, students had the opportunity to experience the AI-supported tools offered by Mimerra and explore, through practical applications, the processes of generating architectural visualizations, developing design scenarios, and editing existing images.
Throughout the workshop, students experimented with producing various interior and furniture design alternatives in a short time and experienced the creative potential of AI-supported design processes. The event provided an important academic platform for discussing the integration of contemporary digital design technologies into architectural education.
At the end of the workshop, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Muttalip Gören by the workshop coordinator, Asst. Prof. Dr. Cemile Feyzan Şimşek, in recognition of his valuable contribution and presentation. The program concluded with a commemorative group photograph taken with the participants.
