“ENGELSIZM: Accessibility in Architecture Workshop” Held at AYBU Esenboğa Campus
The AYBU Department of Architecture organized the “ENGELSIZM: Accessibility in Architecture Workshop” at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) Esenboğa Campus on 12 December 2025. The workshop addressed accessibility through exploration, field observation, and on-site evaluation.
In the first session, Assoc. Prof. İlkay Dinç Uyaroğlu and Architect Kubilay Karagül discussed accessibility from a designer’s perspective. Participants then carried out on-site campus assessments within the scope of the Campus Accessibility Evaluation and Reporting activity, guided by Dr. Ömer Faruk Pamak and Architect Enes Öner, focusing on the needs of different user profiles. The workshop concluded with a discussion session and a certificate ceremony.
