This semester, Studio 3 focuses on post-earthquake housing design. In this context, the area located at the intersection of rural and sub-urban contexts in the Bala district of Ankara, which is an earthquake zone and has experienced earthquakes in the past, was chosen for the project work. A trip was organized on October 12, 2023 for the studio team in order to evaluate and observe local facilities, conditions and opportunities. Through this trip, students had the chance to observe the local, historical and traditional settlement areas near the area, the housing projects implemented after the earthquake disasters, and the current socio-economic situation of the residents.
