Things to Consider Regarding Internship
Summer internship is done during the summer periods of the 2nd and 3rd years.
In order for the student's internship to be considered successful, they must take the relevant internship course in the fall semesters following the summer period. The student is responsible for taking the internship course, and if they do not take the course, their internship will be considered unsuccessful.
Every page of the internship report must be stamped and signed. The student must submit the report, stamped and signed, by the date to be announced in the fall semester. If every page cannot be signed, initials may be used instead of a signature. Reports without a stamp and signature/initials will not be taken into consideration.
Each page of the internship report must contain at least 50% text, and a photograph must be attached to every page.
The first page of the internship report must include the Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO) Registration Number of the civil engineer responsible for the student. The engineer is required to sign below the Registration Number.
In addition to the explanations stated above, the student is required to read the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Department of Civil Engineering Internship Principles provided below and conduct their internship according to these principles. Whether or not it is separately stated to the students verbally, it is assumed that students have fully understood and accepted the principles. Even if not verbally stated to the students, reports that do not comply with the principles below will be considered unsuccessful. The student is primarily responsible for all articles contained in the Internship Principles.
The documents to be filled out before the internship and the flow chart, as well as the documents to be filled out during and after the internship, are provided below.
Note: From the start of the internship, students are required to check via E-Devlet – “4A Statement of Employment and Termination” whether their insurance has been initiated. If a student cannot see that their insurance has started, they must inform the internship coordinator within the first 3 days.
