Dear Students,
Taking into account the feedback and requests submitted to our department regarding the Fall semester course schedule, the schedule has been finalized and is available in the file below. This announcement serves to provide a collective update regarding the submitted requests.
1.The course schedule has been prepared within the scope of our classroom capacities and faculty assignments, prioritizing the prevention of schedule conflicts among compulsory courses within the same semester. Conflicts may still occur between courses belonging to different semesters.
2.During course registration, students must consider the mandatory courses in the curriculum, the minimum number of elective courses required for graduation, and any prerequisites. Courses that were previously failed, courses for which attendance requirements were not met, or courses that have never been taken before must be prioritized and registered starting from the lowest semester. This order of priority may be waived for senior students who are eligible for graduation.
3.Attendance is compulsory for newly taken courses and courses repeated due to failure caused by absenteeism. For courses repeated due to reasons other than absenteeism, attendance is not required for the theoretical hours; however, the attendance requirement remains valid for practical, laboratory, and similar sessions. Even if attendance is not required, students are obliged to participate in exams and all other assessments of the course. In the event of a conflict between two courses that both require attendance, the priority order stated in Article 2 must be followed.
4.In the case of prerequisite courses, failing to complete a course in a lower semester impacts subsequent semesters. Therefore, it is crucial to plan not only for the current term but also with graduation requirements in mind. Monitoring this academic progression is the student's responsibility; students may consult their academic advisor in case of uncertainties or further questions regarding course registration.
5.The schedule will not be subject to change except in mandatory cases (e.g., faculty assignment changes, classroom reallocations). Any modifications affecting the schedule will be announced on the department’s website.
6.All requests submitted to our department are officially recorded upon initial receipt. Therefore, there is no need to resend the same request; repeated submissions do not alter the evaluation queue. The course schedule is constrained by classroom availability and faculty assignments, and these constraints do not change based on the volume of requests. In future semesters, submitting your inquiries to insaatmh@aybu.edu.tr with the subject line, student ID, course codes, and conflicting hours clearly stated will ensure a more efficient evaluation process.
Please finalize your course registrations within the registration and add-drop periods specified in the academic calendar, in accordance with the schedule dated September 13, 2026, published on our department website.
We wish you a successful semester.
