STAJ ÖNCESİ İÇİN GEREKLİ BİLGİLER / INFORMATION REQUIRED BEFORE THE INTERNSHIP
1) Türkiye'de staj yapacak öğrenciler Zorunlu Staj Yazısı'nı ilgili kuruma, Stajyer Kabul Formu'nu* ve GSS Beyan ve Taahhütname Belgesi'ni bölüm sekreterliğine, Staj Öncesi Kontrol Formu'nu staj komisyonuna teslim etmelidir. / Students who will do internships in Turkey are required to submit the Compulsory Internship Letter (Zorunlu Staj Yazısı) to the relevant company, the Intern Acceptance Form (Stajyer Kabul Formu)* and the GSS Declaration and Undertaking Document (GSS Beyan ve Taahhütname Belgesi) to our department secretary, and the Pre-Interhsip Control Form (Staj Öncesi Kontrol Formu) to the internship committee.
2) Yurtdışında staj yapacak öğrenciler Stajyer Kabul Formu'nu* sekreterliğe, Staj Öncesi Kontrol Formu'nu staj komisyonuna teslim etmelidir. / Students who will do internships abroad are required to submit the Intern Acceptance Form** to our department secretary and the Pre-Interhsip Control Form* to the internship committee.
*Stajyer Kabul Formu'nun staj komisyonundaki hocalara imzalatılması gerekmektedir. Staj başlangıç tarihinden en az 1 hafta önce, sigorta işlemlerinin başlatılması sürecinin takibi öğrenci sorumluluğundadır. İmzalanan belgeler bölüm sekreterimize teslim edilmelidir. / The Intern Acceptance Form must be signed by the instructors in the internship commission. It is the student's responsibility to follow up on the insurance process at least 1 week before the start of the internship. Signed documents must be delivered to our department secretary.

3) Staj yapılacak firma tarafından öğrenciden staj uygunluk yazısı talep edilirse, Staj Yeterlilik Belgesi öğrenci tarafından doldurulmalı, staj komisyonu tarafından onaylanarak firmaya teslim edilmelidir. / In cases where the company at which the student will complete the internship requests an official confirmation of internship eligibility, the Letter of Internship Eligibility must be completed by the student, signed by the Internship Committee, and then submitted to the company.

S.S.S. (Sık Sorulan Sorular)
1) Staj süresi nedir, hangi dersleri seçmeliyim? -> Staj dersleri Güz döneminde açılan ESE300 ve ESE400 dersleridir. 20 günlük yaz stajını tamamlayan öğrenci, stajını yaptığı yaz dönemini takip eden güz döneminde ilgili derse kayıt yapmalıdır. Toplam staj süresi her bir ders için 20 şer günden toplam 40 gündür.
2) Stajımı ne zaman yapabilirim? -> Öğrencilerimizin; 2. yıl yani 4. dönemlerini tamamladıkları* yaz döneminde ESE300; 3. yıl yani 6. dönemlerini tamamladıkları yaz döneminde ESE400 stajını yapmaları planlanmıştır. İsteyen öğrenciler 6. dönemlerinden sonra ilk stajlarını henüz yapmamışlar ise iki stajlarını aynı dönemde staj tarihleri çakışmayacak şekilde yapabilirler. *Not: tamamlama kriteri derslerden başarılı olunmasını gerektirmemektedir.
3) Staj başlangıç ve bitiş tarihleri nasıl belirlenir? -> staj tarihleri akademik takvimde belirtilen eğitim-öğretim tarihlerine denk gelmemelidir. Sadece staj dersi kalan öğrenciler akademik takvim içerisinde stajını yapıp mezun olabilir. Staj süreleri hesaplanırken hafta sonları ve resmi tatiller hesaba katılmaz.
4) Bölümümüz staj yeri ayarlamamıza yardımcı oluyor mu? -> Staj yeri ayarlamak tamamen öğrencinin kendi sorumluluğundadır. Bunun sebebi, öğrencilerin mezun olduklarında iş ararken de benzer süreçler yaşayacakları için staj ayarlama sırasında yapacakları tercihlerinin ve takip edecekleri yöntemlerin önemli bir deneyim kazandıracak olmasıdır.
5) Hangi kurumlarda staj yapabilirim? -> Öğrencilerimizin stajlarında mesleki pratik çalışma becerilerini arttıracabilecekleri kurumsal şirketlerde veya kamu kuruluşlarında staj yapması istenmektedir. Staj yapılan kurumda en az bir Elektrik, Makine veya Enerji Sistemleri mühendisi olması gerekir. ESE300 ve ESE400 stajları aynı kurumda yapılamaz.
6) Stajımı kısmi zamanlı çalıştığım bir iş ile aynı zamanda yapabilirmiyim? -> Kısmi zamanlı iş hafta sonu ise aynı zaman aralığında staj yapılabilir.
7) Stajıma ne zaman başlayabilirim? -> Bütünleme sınavına girmeyecek öğrenciler, son final sınavından sonraki gün stajlarına başlayabilirler. Bütünleme sınavına girecek öğrenciler ise, katıldıkları son bütünleme sınavından sonraki gün stajlarına başlayabilirler.
F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)
1) What is the duration of the internship, which courses should I choose? -> Internship courses are ESE300 and ESE400 courses opened in the Fall semester. The student who has completed the 20-day summer internship must register for the relevant course in the fall semester following the summer semester in which he/she did his/her internship. The total internship period is 20 days for each course and a total of 40 days.
2) When can I do my internship? -> It is planned that they will do their ESE300/ESE400 internship during the summer period when they complete* their 2nd year or 4th semester / 3rd year or 6th term respectively. If the students who have not completed their first internship after their 6th semester, they can do their both internships in the same summer period in a way that the internship dates do not overlap. *Note: The completion criterion does not require success in the courses.
3) How are the start and end dates of the internship determined? -> Internship dates should not coincide with the education-training dates specified in the academic calendar. Students who have only the internship course left can do their internship within the academic calendar and graduate. Weekends and public holidays are not taken into account when calculating internship periods.
4) Does our department help us arrange an internship? -> It is the student's own responsibility to arrange an internship place. The reason for this is that students will experience similar processes while looking for a job when they graduate, so the choices they make and the methods they will follow while arranging an internship will earn them a significant experience.
5) In which institutions can I do internships? -> Our students are required to do internships in corporate companies or public institutions where they can increase their professional practical working skills. The internship institution must have at least one Electrical, Mechanical or Energy Systems engineer. ESE300 and ESE400 internships can not be done in the same institution.
6) Can I do my internship at the same time along side with a part-time job? -> If the part-time job is on the weekend, an internship can be done at the same time.
7) When can I start my internship? -> Students who will not take the make-up exam can start their internship the day after their last final exam. Students who will take the make-up exam can start their internship the day after their last make-up exam.
