The Accessible University Unit of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University organized a meeting on September 17, 2025, at the Milli İrade Campus, Block A, with the participation of faculty representatives. The meeting began with the opening speech and informative remarks by the Coordinator of the Accessible University Unit, Asst. Prof. Mümin Şen. During the meeting, where representatives from all faculties were present, the activities of the 2024-2025 academic year were evaluated, and plans for the 2025-2026 year were discussed.
The meeting agenda included:
- Reviewing Accessible University activities,
- Preparing activity plans for the new term,
- Discussing update proposals for the Accessible University Unit Directives.
Furthermore, the Vice Coordinator of the Accessible University Unit and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Physiotherapist Prof. Dr. Bahar Anaforoğlu, gave a presentation on accessible campus life and practices aimed at facilitating university life for our students with physical disabilities. Additionally, the Vice Coordinator of the Accessible University Unit and faculty member of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Nilay Kayhan, informed the representatives about the content and usage of the unit's forms and the referral processes for students with disabilities.
Coordinator Asst. Prof. Mümin Şen expressed that the meeting was productive and thanked all representatives for their contributions. Participants emphasized that efforts to create an accessible educational environment at our university will continue with determination.
