Abstract:
This seminar presents the design and verification of AYBU CAN FD, an open-source Verilog-based CAN FD IP core developed as an auditable alternative to proprietary commercial solutions. To ensure interoperability and standards compliance, the core is verified against a commercial reference implementation using a reusable SystemVerilog-based verification environment.
The work is further extended with a 10BASE-T1S (IEEE 802.3cg) Ethernet MAC, a PLCA state machine, and a CAN-to-Ethernet hardware gateway while preserving verification integrity through regression testing. The seminar will discuss the system architecture, verification methodology, design challenges, and key results obtained throughout the development process.
