ENGR 450 _ Application on Site
Application Criteria
- The candidate engineer must not have any outstanding courses from the first two years (1 and 2) for any reason.
- The candidate engineer may take a maximum of 2 courses from the 3rd year while enrolled in the ENGR450 course.
- The Grade Point Average (GPA) must be at least 2.75. (Updated on 24.01.2024)
- The firm the candidate agrees to work with must employ at least 1 electrical and/or electronics engineer.
- The firm must employ a total of at least 3 engineers.
- The candidate must commit to working at the firm at least two days per week.
Required Application Documents
- Current transcript.
- A signed and stamped document from the firm that includes:
- Confirmation of the firm’s acceptance of the relevant student (must include student’s full name and TCKN),
- The dates during which the student will be working at the firm,
- The number of workdays per week for the student,
- A brief introduction of the firm and the current number of engineers employed (detailed: e.g., 3 electrical/electronics engineers, 2 mechanical engineers, etc.).
Evaluation Process
The evaluation will be conducted based on a presentation in front of a three-member jury. Each student is required to submit reports during the midterm and final periods.
Application documents should be scanned and sent to the electronic mail addresses of their advisors. Students whose applications are accepted will submit the original documents to the Department Chair’s office in person after the acceptance announcement. Please do not attempt to deliver documents in person during the application phase; in-person submissions will not be accepted.
Note: There is no limit on the number of students for this course.
