A Special Session will be organized within the scope of the 34th IEEE Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (IEEE SIU 2026), with the participation of faculty members from our department as session organizers.
Special Session Title:
Non-Terrestrial Networks in Next-Generation Communication Technologies: Integration, Optimization, and Applications
This special session aims to address recent research advances, technical challenges, and emerging application areas related to non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), with a particular focus on satellite-, HAPS-, and UAV-assisted communication systems. In addition, the session will cover topics on the integration of NTNs with 5G-Advanced and 6G communication systems, as well as performance optimization strategies.
