Seminar Announcement - Intelligent Transport Systems in Urban Areas

Syed Muhammad Asad, Network and Telecom Engineer at Transport for London (TfL) and also doing his PhD at Glasgow University, will hold a seminar on his work topics. Syed Muhammad Asad in our faculty, Dr. Instructor It is hosted by its member Metin Öztürk as a visiting researcher.

Biography of the Presenter: Syed Muhammad Asad is currently working full-time in Transport for London (TfL) as a Senior Network and Telecoms Architect in Technology & Data Department, London, UK. He has served above 10 years in Telecommunications industry after receiving the M.Sc. degree in Mobile Communication Systems from the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. in 2010. On part-time basis he is pursuing the Ph.D. research professional degree from the University of Glasgow, U.K. He has been recognized as a Radio Design Lead in the deployment of 4G Public Cellular Network (PCN) and Emergency Services Network (ESN) projects in London Underground and is responsible for technical strategies dealing with; Radio, Wireless Wi-Fi and cellular 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, and architecture including Radio Access Network (RAN) design, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Private Mobile Radio (PMR), and associated performance metrics.
