Speech and Language Therapy department aims to provide students and the public with the highest standards of information, clinical service and research conditions, to address speech and language-related problems in the most accurate way, to develop professional reasoning and problem-solving skills by instilling the principles of Speech and Language Science. Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) take responsibilities (with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and therapy steps) in language, speech, communication, voice and swallowing disorders. SLT can provide a wide range of services from infancy to old age. Disorder groups in which SLT work; Fluency Disorders, Language Disorders, Language Disorders due to Developmental Disabilities (Autism, Cerebral Palsy), Speech Sound Disorders, Voice Disorders, Acquired Language Disorders, Motor Speech Disorders, Swallowing Disorders, Speech and Language Disorders due to Craniofacial Anomalies. Speech and Language Therapists; works in communication and cooperation with different professional groups. At the same time, since it is a developing branch of science, it contributes to science by following science and technology and conducting scientific studies. Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Speech and Language Therapy Department; With its qualified and equipped academic staff, it aims to train Speech and Language Therapists at the highest level in both health care and academic research.
