A “Training of Trainers” programme was organized for Turcologists and Turkish Teachers in Iraq, in cooperation with International Eurasian Education Union, Türk Eğitim Sen, Türkmeneli Student and Youth Union and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) DİLMER. Academicians from Turcology departments and Turkish teachers, 50 in total, participated in the education programme, that took place in Kirkuk province. Head of AYBU DİLMER, Lect. Bünyamin OĞUZ, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Latif İLTAR, the assistant principal, Lect.Dr.Kürşat İLGÜN and Lect.Dr.Çağrı Batluralkız provided the training for the participants. During the education programme, a pedagogical and methodological point of view were served for improving and ensuring the quality of Turkish language teaching. Within the scope of the project, the Presidency of Iraqi Turkmen Front, University of Kırkuk, Turkish Maarif Foundation Schools and regional NGOs, active in the fields of education, health and culture, were paid a visit and cooperation possibilities were discussed. In addition, Turkish Exam for Foreigners was held for 100 students from across Iraq within the scope of the Project.
