AYBU TURKISH EXAM FOR FOREIGNERS

THIS EXAM IS FREE JUST FOR AYBU STUDENTS. EXAM FEE IS 1500TRY FOR OTHER PARTICIPANTS EXCEPT FOR AYBU STUDENTS. NO MAKE-UP EXAM IS PLANNED TO BE CONDUCTED FOLLOWING THE SAID EXAM. THOSE AYBU STUDENTS TO HAVE FAILED IN THE EXAM AND UNABLE TO GET A SCORE OF C1 WILL CONTINUE WITH TURKISH LANGUAGE PREPARATORY PROGRAMME BY BEING PLACED AND GROUPED ACCORDING TO THEIR TURKISH LANGUAGE LEVELS. PLEASE FIND THE BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS BELOW.

Non-AYBU students are obliged to make payment to the bank account number specified below for their final exam registration and send the bank receipt to  dilmer@aybu.edu.tr .

P.S.1: Please make sure to specify your “ NAME, SURNAME, TR ID NUMBER” and “DİLMER YTS SINAV ÜCRETİ” phrase in the information box of the bank account system and send the payment receipt to dilmer@aybu.edu.tr .

P.S.2: You should fill in the registration form to take the exam. Since examination will be organized upon the applications received, non-applicants will not be offered admission for examination.

P.S.3: The exam will be held face-to-face only in the relevant exam hall of AYBU DİLMER at AYBU Cinnah Campus.

P.S.4:  A valid ID card and AYBU student ID cards or documents should have been taken in advance for those candidates to take the exam. They should be ready at the relevant exam hall at 09.30 a.m. at the latest.

P.S.5: This exam is free for AYBU students.

P.S.6: Those international students to have enrolled in the academic programmes of whose medium of instruction are Turkish, are required to take Assessment Exam in General Turkish, to be held on 09/09/2025. No other exam is planned to be conducted. Those students requesting Turkish exemption with their proof documents shall submit them in person to DİLMER staff during registrations. Deadline for exemption applications – 08/09/2025, 12.00 p.m.

 

Turkish Exam For Foreigners

Candidates will be ready at AYBU LEARC at least 30 minutes before the exam time. Each candidate is required to bring his/her own pencil, eraser etc. Candidates will finalize the exam by taking the face-to-face speaking exam following the reading, listening and writing questions, present in the exam booklet (printed version).

Turkish Exam for Foreigners is designed to assess language abilities in four basic areas like reading, listening, writing and speaking and the examination is composed of those sections. Each section is assessed in itself and evaluated out of a maximum of 100 points. Questions in reading and listening sections are composed of multiple-choice questions depending on the reading and listening texts. Four texts exist in the reading stage as well as the multiple choice questions related with the mentioned texts. During the listening stage, audio recordings of three texts of the listening section are heard and the multiple-choice questions regarding these audio records are answered. Writing section includes a text (story writing) completion question and an open ended writing question. The incomplete story is expected to be completed with a minimum of 100 words in addition to an opinion-essay type open ended writing question that is also expected to be expressed with a minimum of 125 words. Speaking stage of the examination will be conducted by the relevant academic staff as face-to-face. The said exam shall be evaluated by calculating the averages of 4 skills/stages out of a maximum of 100 points, provided that minimum 50 points from each language skill/stage has been obtained. The attendee, getting a score remaining below 50 points from one of the language skills/stages, shall be deemed to have failed the exam.
