THIS EXAM IS FREE JUST FOR AYBU STUDENTS. EXAM FEE IS 500 TRY FOR OTHER PARTICIPANTS EXCEPT FOR AYBU STUDENTS. NO MAKE-UP EXAM IS PLANNED TO BE CONDUCTED FOLLOWING THE SAID EXAM. THOSE TO HAVE FAILED IN THE EXAM AND UNABLE TO GET A SCORE OF C1 WILL CONTINUE WITH TURKISH LANGUAGE PREPARATORY PROGRAMME BY BEING PLACED AND GROUPED ACCORDING TO THEIR TURKISH LANGUAGE LEVELS. Turkish Exam For Foreigners (Face to Face)
Candidates will be ready at AYBU LEARC 30 minutes before the exam time. Each candidate is required to bring his/her own pencil, eraser etc. Candidates will finalize the exam by taking the face-to-face speaking exam following the reading, listening and writing sessions, present in the exam booklet (printed version).
The examination is designed to assess language abilities in four basic areas like reading, listening, writing and speaking and the examination is composed of those sections. Each section is assessed in itself and evaluated out of a maximum of 100 points. Questions in reading and listening sections are composed of multiple-choice questions depending on the reading and listening texts. Four texts exist in the reading stage as well as the multiple choice questions in connection with the mentioned texts. During the listening stage, audio recordings of three texts of the listening section will be heard and the multiple-choice questions regarding these audio records will be answered. Writing section includes a text (story writing) completion question and an open ended writing question. The incomplete story is expected to be completed with a word count of a minimum of 100 words in addition to an opinion essay type open ended writing question to be indicated with a word count of a minimum of 125 words. Speaking stage of the examination will be conducted by the relevant academic staff as face-to-face. Evaluation of the said exam shall be conducted by calculating the averages of 4 skills/stages out of a maximum of 100 points, provided that minimum 50 points from each language skill/stage has been obtained. The attendee, getting a score remaining below 50 points from one of the language skills/stages, shall be deemed to have failed the exam.
