Invitation to Ukrainian Academics from AYBU
Rector AYDINLI, at the press conference held on the Esenboğa Campus, stated that last year AYBU made cooperation agreements with National Aerospace University Kharkiv Aviation Institute and Odessa I.I. Mechnikov University, both from Ukraine.
Noting that AYBU is also in cooperation with TUSAŞ (Turkish Aerospace Industries), Aydınlı said that within the framework of previous cooperation protocols, Ukrainian academicians from the Department of Aerospace Engineering will be able to start education and training at AYBU quickly.
Recalling the statement made by YÖK (The Council of Higher Education in Turkey), Rector Aydınlı said:
“As you know, the war in Ukraine is getting more intense day by day. Now we all see that not only education, but also social life is difficult. As a university, we wish to send a message to Ukraine: As you know, the president of the Council of Higher Education in Turkey (YÖK) made a statement yesterday. He explained some principles, especially regarding the scientists from Ukraine coming to Turkey. Upon this statement of YÖK, we would like to invite especially the faculty members of Kharkiv Aviation and Space University to our university, which hosts students from 108 countries and has more than 30 foreign professors teaching 100% English in many faculties, within the aforementioned protocol we signed with Ukraine”.
