Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) Directorate of Library and Documentation, AYBU Department of Information Management, in collaboration with the Presidency of the National Library, hosted an important workshop. Held on April 15, 2025, at the Presidency of the National Library as part of the 61st Library Week, the workshop titled "Producing University Libraries in the Digital Age: Problems and Solution Proposals" brought together leading figures in the sector.
The opening of the workshop was attended by AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz KÖSEOĞLU, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa ORÇAN, Head of AYBU Library and Documentation Department Halil GÜRBÜZ, and Head of the Presidency of National Libraries Ayhan TUĞLU. Many librarians from various institutions and academics from the field of Information Management showed great interest in the workshop, where current issues were discussed at four different tables: Digital Humanities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, Purchasing and Subscription Models, Accessible Library, and Open Access.
Participants developed solution proposals for the problems faced by university libraries in the digitalizing world at this important event. The workshop was successfully completed with the valuable contributions of the attendees.
