Students who wish to take summer school courses at other universities must ensure that the credit and ECTS (AKTS) values of the external course are not lower than those of the equivalent course offered at AYBU.
Students may only select universities whose base admission scores are at least 90% or higher than the base admission score of the AYBU Software Engineering Department. Additionally, the course must be offered by a department where the medium of instruction is 100% English.
Students are required to prove that the syllabus of the course they plan to take matches the syllabus of the AYBU course for which they are requesting credit equivalency. The syllabi of both courses must be shared with the Summer School Committee Member, Research Assistant Pelin Nur ÇÖL, via email at pelinnurcol@aybu.edu.tr.
Furthermore, students must ensure that the university from which they plan to take a course complies with all relevant regulations. It is strongly advised that students carefully read all conditions for taking courses at summer schools.
The student is fully responsible for fulfilling all requirements and procedures.
Students must fill out the “Application Form for Taking a Summer School Course at Another University” and submit it to the Department Secretariat of the Software Engineering Department. Students who experience issues with physical submission may instead send the form via email to pelinnurcol@aybu.edu.tr.
The course coordinator of the equivalent course at AYBU must verify and confirm that the external course is equivalent by signing the submitted form. The form must also be signed by the Head of Department and the Dean. Only after receiving all required approvals will the student be eligible to enroll in the selected external course.
