In-house materials of the ILC have been designed to turn students’ language learning experiences into a more meaningful activity. Let’s take a quick look at our publications.

 ILC TIMES

ILC TIMES, is the bi-monthly newsletter of the Independent Learning Cente at AYBU. We publish texts about learning, languages and cultures as well as news and updates from the School of Foreign Languages and the ILC. Student contributions are also published in ILC TIMES. The newsletter is free and can be found at the ILC.

PROFICIENCY GUIDEBOOK & WRITING GUIDEBOOK

In our Proficiency Guidebook, details of the Assessment in General English (AGE) are presented to learners and this includes question types and exam strategies. The booklet may be found online in our website (www.ybu.edu.tr/yabancidiller) or at the ILC as a printed copy.

Writing Guidebook has been designed to guide preparatory class students in improving their writing skills with practical tips and strategies offered. The booklet can be found at the ILC in print form.

SECOND LANGUAGE SURVIVAL GUIDES

(RUSSIAN - CHINESE - ARABIC)

The ILC is where languages come alive! We encourage learners not to limit themselves into only one foreign language and keep learning new ones. Multilingualism and multiculturalism are two key elements we take into consideration while designing our materials and activities.

Survival Guides are helpful resources which give learners an opportunity to start learning the very basic expressions and vocabulary in Chinese, Russian, and Arabic. Survival Guides can be accessed at the ILC or Aybuzem ILC online class.
