AYBU SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES PROFICIENCY (YDMS-AGE) EXAM APPLICATION

Application Dates: 30 December 2024 - 9 January 2025, at 16:00

Written Part: 13 January 2025

Speaking Part: 14-15 January 2025

* The number of days allocated for the speaking exam is subject to change in accordance with the number of students taking the exam.

 

* All the students who wish to take the exam must apply below.

* Active preparatory school students MUST NOT APPLY before getting their Period 2 results.

* Application and admission requirements for YDMS-AGE after the fall semester for preparatory students are stated in Article 2 (4) of our directive:

(4) In order to take AGE exams held at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters, the students need to fulfill ALL of the following conditions:
a) To have successfully completed B level with an average of at least 79.5 or to have successfully completed B+ or higher levels,
b) To have successfully completed the current level as of the date of the exam,
c) Not exceeding the semester or annual absenteeism limit.

Proficiency Exam (YDMS-AGE) - 100 points

Content: WRITTEN PART

4 listening sections (5-8 questions each; in total 25 questions) - 25 points 

5 reading texts (5 questions each; in total 25 questions) - 25 points

One writing task - opinion essay - 25 points

Content: SPEAKING PART

Speaking part - two tasks - 25 points

First task - 3 short questions - immediate response - 10 points

Second task - 1 statement - 1 minute thinking time and 2 minutes talking about the statement - 15 points

Duration

Written part - 140 minutes

Speaking part - 6 to 8 minutes (for each student)
